Training Summary
Participants will use Bronfenbrenner’s bioecological model to examine the contextual influences that they have experienced and how those experiences play a role within their own communication with families in their programs. They will have the opportunity to explore communication strategies that promote equitable and inclusive communication and practice culturally responsive strategies that build partnerships with families of diverse backgrounds.
Resumen de la capacitación
Los participantes utilizarán el modelo bioecológico de Bronfenbrenner para examinar las influencias contextuales que han experimentado y cómo dichas experiencias influyen en su propia comunicación con las familias en sus programas. Tendrán la oportunidad de explorar estrategias de comunicación que fomenten la equidad y la inclusión, así como de practicar enfoques culturalmente pertinentes para establecer alianzas con familias de diversos orígenes.
Note: This training is open to any type of child care or early learning provider. Training space is limited though, and priority will be given to current Licensed Family Child Care Providers and their staff until November 6th. After November 6th, all remaining spots will be enrolled in the order of registration, or when the training reaches maximum capacity.
